Only 48 hours after yielding the presidency of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello has handed his campaign office to the party’s standard bearer.
Bello, who was a presidential candidate at the APC Special Convention in Abuja that recently ended, made the declaration on Friday when Tinubu paid him a visit.

On Thursday, the APC flag bearer paid a similar visit to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, another presidential candidate at the Villa.

Though the aim of the closed-door meeting was not revealed, sources close to TInubu speculated that it could be part of his reconciliation efforts with the other 13 aspirants.
Former APC Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu! Tinubu was escorted to the conference by Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle and his Kano counterpart Abdullahi Ganduje.
Tinubu, who was touched by Bello’s offer, pledged to strive for the party and the country’s unity.
