Kemi Filani remembers how Nigerians responded to a chart that showed Olamide’s influence on the careers of other well-known music artists.

A chart that circulated on social media listed the names of both established musicians and up-and-coming artists whose careers Olamide had influenced.

Zlatan, Naira Marley, T.I. Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Portable, Skales, Phyno, Jaido P, Asake, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, CDQ, and other musicians are among the artists on the chart.

The chart, prepared by a social media user known as holuwaroyal, reveals how each performer claimed that Olamide transformed their lives and careers.

An old video that leaked online showed the spectacular moment Asake fell into tears as Olamide hopped on one of his songs and signed him to the YBNL record company.

Asake recalled how one phone call from Olamide changed his life.

He tweeted: “One call from @Olamide, and everything changed.”
