Patoranking, 17, was overjoyed after being admitted to Ghana’s University of Cape Coast (UCC), but he had no idea he would not continue his schooling.
Patoranking explained that when he told his father about his acceptance, he was disappointed because his younger siblings were going to start secondary school. The financial strain would be too much for his father, unless his siblings paused their studies to help Patoranking.
“My son, I know this is what you want—to further your education at UCC, but you have siblings. It will be nice to have them have a taste of secondary education,” he recounted.
The ‘Alubarika’ singer remarked that he had no choice but to become a man right away. He claimed he persuaded himself that the one thing he knew how to do that would transform his family’s look was music.
Patoranking, a Nigerian superstar, has progressed from being a struggling musician in Ghana to becoming a notable singer on the African continent, with his name inscribed as a magnificent performance in various countries throughout the world.
