Nigerians Sign Online Petition Calling for Justice for Sokoto Female Student Killed for Alleged Blasphemy

An online petition has been launched to demand justice for Deborah, a female student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, who was slain for allegedly disrespecting Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Deborah was stoned to death and afterwards set on fire by an enraged crowd of primarily college students.

“Please send us vital information.” This group was not formed so that you might send irrelevant stuff. If there is an exam or an assignment, you can use it to transmit prior questions. It is not your responsibility to supply irrelevant material. In a voice note she sent with the WhatsApp group, the late Deborah was recorded as saying, “Which prophet?”
Dotun Olawoye, a journalist, started the petition, which called on the government and all important parties to ensure justice is delivered in the case.

“Deborah, a student at Sokoto State’s Shehu Shagari College of Education, was assaulted and burned to death by her colleagues for allegedly disrespecting Prophet Muhammad,” Olawoye added (SAW). On Thursday morning, the event occurred.

Muslim students who pulled her out of her dorm burned her to death. Similarly, in March 2021, some furious teenagers backed by authorities of Sade village in the Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State burned to death Talle Mai Ruwa for allegedly disrespecting Prophet Muhammad. Mai Ruwa was allegedly pulled out from his home on Tuesday in front of his mother and burned to death in the midst of the neighborhood.
