Recall that D’banj was detained by the anti-graft organization on Tuesday due to allegations of fraud involving the N-Power program.
D’banj was released on Friday afternoon, December 9th. However, the singer can be summoned by the ICPC later.
The singer cooperated with the Commission during its investigation, according to the singer’s attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, who spoke to Premium Times.
While pointing out that Dbanj was released on his own recognizance, Mr. Olajengbesi did not confirm whether the ICPC had granted the singer administrative bail.
He added that the singer was not linked to any evidence of fraudulent activity by the ICPC.
Nothing incriminating was found on him. He was released on self-recognition. Right now, we expect the ICPC to give a letter of clearance to D’banj because, as we have always said, he is innocent of the charges brought against him,” he said.
A Source who spoke to Sahara Reporters said that “The musician is planning to speak out soon,”
