A 25-year-old Kenyan woman has dropped her lawsuit against her Nigerian lover, whom she accused of forcing her into oral sex and then uploading the footage to the internet.
After seeing him at his place, the lady identified as CWW accused the Nigerian man identified as Adekunle Odu of pushing her into a sexual act.
She claimed Adekunle, who allegedly accused her of having affairs with many men, threatened to kill her with a knife before forcing her to have oral sex on him and recording the ordeal on his phone.
Adekunle allegedly uploaded the video on his Whatsapp status, prompting the woman to report the incident to police, who then arrested and charged him in court.
CWW also informed police that Adekunle, whom she had dated for two years, had abused her on multiple occasions.
She remembers his reportedly assaulting her after seeing her with a male acquaintance, to the point where she nearly lost her sight.
After the case came up for mention on Wednesday October 13, before Milimani trial magistrate Robinson Ondieki, CWW asked the court to withdraw the charges against Adekunle Odu as she had forgiven him.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) did not oppose the request to have the several charges of assault, threatening to kill, cyber harassment, and being in possession of bhang withdrawn against the accused person.
Magistrate Ondieki allowed the application for withdrawal and acquitted Adekunle.
