At the same time, a group called Coalition for Better and Brighter Nigeria and Prophet Isa El-Buba of the Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministries International, EBOMI, joined in the walk that began with prayers at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.
While addressing the gathering, Prophet El-Buba urged Nigerians to be politically aware since it was time to return power to the people. He also warned them to be watchful of politicians who might be looking to take advantage of them.
He stressed that he was convinced that Peter Obi and Yusuf Baba-Ahmed are the best candidates, and that Peter Obi’s candidacy for the Labour Party has given the average person new hope. He also warned supporters against buying and selling votes, saying that it was time to look beyond party politics and choose credible leaders in 2023.
Rev. Haruna Maidoki, who was speaking on behalf of the Coalition for Better and Brighter Nigeria, formally opened the event by saying that unity is the only thing that can bring about goodness and provide the people of Nigeria with the much-needed decent government.
