Popular businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, also known as Obi Cubana, has warned against envy.
The head of the Cubana Group cautioned people against developing a “negative” obsession with other people’s accomplishments, which could unintentionally turn into envy.

Obi Cubana, however, argued that if one must be fixated on another person’s achievement, it should radiate good energy that will bring success to them when they least expect it.
He wrote: “Do not be obsessed by another man’s success to the extent of being envious without even realising it!
“Rather be obsessed by the success of others in admiration, so that your success will come when you aren’t even expecting it!!!”
Highlighting some of the characteristics-cum-effects of the vice he added:
“Envy is evil! Envy kills!! Envy stunts growth!!! Envy destroys!!!!
“Be positive minded towards all….it’s easier!”
