David Osagie, another legendary actor, dies after a film shoot.

A few days after the Nigerian film industry mourned the untimely death of actress Chi Bernards, who collapsed and died while cleaning a Catholic Church in Enugu State, another actor, Sir David Osagie, died in similar circumstances.
Osagie, 52, was known for playing the role of a king in movies and died on Tuesday in his hotel room following a film shoot in the South East region.
Ngozi Ezeh, who confirmed the sad news, stated that the actor was not sick but slept and did not wake up the next day.

“I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David,” the actress wrote on her Instagram page, announcing his death. He wasn’t sick; it just happened to him. How do we explain yet another Nollywood loss? Have mercy, Lord. Oh, I’m in mourning again.”

In addition, another actress, Ibiwari, confirmed the sad news, saying the late actor filmed yesterday (Tuesday) and went back to rest, hoping to resume filming today (Wednesday), but never awoke.
“It’s impossible to explain. Oh, he filmed yesterday and then went to sleep, intending to resume filming today, but he never awoke. Another king role interpreter has left the building. “What is this, oh God?” Ibiwari posted on Instagram.

The late David Osagie was described as a “super talented actor” by actress Isaac Chinwe, who added that “your death is a huge loss to the movie industry.”
According to actor Mike Ezuruonye, the late actor played his father in a film he recently finished shooting.

In addition, the deceased was a scriptwriter, producer, and professional talent developer. In most movies, he was known for playing the role of a King or an elder kinsman. He also knew how to play his roles very well and could fit into any role given to him by movie directors and producers.

However, Osagie died just a few days after the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas, took to the Guild’s Instagram page to form a three-man prayer committee led by Apostle Eucharia Anunobi, whose mission is to design a prayer link that members of the Guild across the country can join.

“Actors need a special day to call on God,” he says.
