The Plateau State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) announced on Sunday that it had started an investigation into reports of a church being invaded and worshipers being flogged by masqueraders in the state’s Langtang South Local Government Area.

On Sunday, it was claimed that masqueraders who flogged worshipers during a church service in the state’s Shikal village in Langtang South Local Government Area.
According to reports, the masqueraders who entered the church property while the church service was in progress whipped the worshipers and damaged some church property in the process.
The CAN chairman said “I saw the report on social media and I was disturbed.
“But for now, I can not say whether it is true or not. But we are not going to let it go without finding out what happened.
“My Secretary is from that area. So I have asked him to get in touch with the church where the invasion by masquerades and flogging of worshipers allegedly took place. So, by tomorrow (Monday) I expect to get the report of the investigation”
