Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, is a rising Nigerian music singer who will continue to achieve international recognition in 2022. Tems has been nominated in three categories for the BET Awards 2022, after breaking into the worldwide stage with her appearance on Wizkid’s Essense, which was released in 2020.
The award organizers made this information public on Wednesday when they announced the full list of nominees. Nigeria’s Tems was nominated in the ‘Best New Artist,’ ‘Best International Act,’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ categories, according to the official list given by the organizers.

Apart from Tems, Wizkid, a Nigerian music icon, and Fireboy DML, a YBNL musician, were each nominated in two categories. According to Variety, Taraji P.
