Arsenal is keeping an eye on Serge Gnabry at Bayern Munich and may make an effort to lure him back to the Emirates Stadium.

The 26-year old contract at the Allianz Arena is set to expire at the end of the 2022–2023 season, but the Bundesliga champions have already made it clear that he might depart during this season.

Hasan Salihamidzic, the director of Bayern, has disclosed that Gnabry might be moved if the club and player are unable to come to terms on a contract extension soon.
“We really want to keep him. I hope that he chooses Bayern. If a player doesn’t want to decide for the club, then we can find a solution that makes everyone happy,” he told Sky Sport Germany.
As a 16-year-old, Gnabry joined the Arsenal’s youth club. He later made 18 professional appearances under Arsene Wenger, but infamously spent his final English season on loan at Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion, making just three appearances for the Baggies.

He signed for Bayern Munich shortly after joining Werder Bremen for £5 million in 2016, spending the 2017–18 season at Hoffenheim before joining the first team in Bavaria.
Gnabry has double digit goals in each of his six Bundesliga seasons since moving back to his country. He was a key member of the Bayern team that defeated Arsenal’s fiercest rivals Chelsea and Tottenham to win the 2019–20 Champions League.
