American rapper Rakim Allen, also known as PnB Rock, was shot and killed during a heist at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
The musician and his girlfriend went to Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles on Monday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
According to reports, the rapper’s girlfriend briefly posted a location-tagged image on Instagram before removing it.
An unknown suspect approached Rock with a brandished gun at around 1:15 p.m., according to LAPD officer Kelly Muniz.
The ‘Selfish’ crooner was reportedly the suspect’s target because of his valuables.
Muniz claimed that the attacker later fired shots at the 30-year-old rapper before running away.
According to reports, the rapper was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead at 1:59 pm.
Rock began his musical career at the age of 19, having been born in Philadelphia in 1991. His two successful albums, “Catch These Vibes” and “TrapStar Turnt PopStar,” helped him become well-known.
His death has continued to elicit reactions from several prominent figures.
In a Twitter post, Cardi B took a swipe at those blaming the rapper’s death on his girlfriend.
